After two weeks (and two days)

Briefly:

Mornings: begin at 7 or 8 am (depending on when the last nighttime waking occurs)

Naps: consistently two per day, in a crib or playpen; put to bed awake, crying for between one minute and 15 minutes; generally one long (1 to 2 hours) and one short (half an hour)

Bedtime: consistently between 8 and 8:30 pm; put to bed awake, crying for between one minute and ten minutes, some nights just a whine or two

Nighttime Wakings: 3, without fail; nursing to sleep (I know, I know)

Overall, there have been some significant improvements, and that which hasn’t improved at least hasn’t gotten worse.  The evenings with both arms free is a huge improvement, for one.  The ability to lay down on the couch and fall asleep if I choose.  The two breaks from at least one child per day (I’ve actually been reading again!  I’ve read more pages in the last two days than I have since Avery was born.)  The significant reduction in coercion techniques required to get her to sleep (one round of Somewhere Over the Rainbow, while rocking – two minutes, done.)
